Scott Peterman is an award-winning nonprofit executive, strategic advisor, and education advocate with almost two decades of experience building coalitions, advancing equity, and designing sustainable systems for social impact. He is the founder of SP Advising, LLC, an independent consultancy that empowers leaders across the public and private sectors through business development, strategic advising, and high-impact partnerships.

Scott previously served as Executive Director of Philadelphia Charters for Excellence (PCE), where he led a sector-wide revitalization of the city's brick-and-mortar charter school movement—growing PCE’s membership from 25 to 80 schools, doubling revenue, and advancing key legislative wins. His leadership helped establish PCE as a trusted voice for community engagement and policy reform across Pennsylvania’s education landscape.

Earlier in his career, Scott held leadership roles with BSD Education, Jewish Heritage Programs, and iPraxis, where he consistently developed innovative, financially sustainable programs that bridged communities and expanded opportunity for underserved youth. He earned his Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government and a B.A. in Sociology from Franklin & Marshall College.

He is a 2023 City & State PA “40 Under 40” honoree and a Metro Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Education Power Player. Scott serves on several nonprofit boards and is driven by a lifelong commitment to service, youth empowerment, and systems-level change.
