Kristen French

Instructor

As a trained attorney, Kristen considers herself, first and foremost, a passionate lifelong advocate for others. In law school, she studied education, adoption, and youth and family law. She performed international childhood disability law research, participated in the Children’s Advocacy Law Society, and served as a mentor to junior students.

Kristen has worked for non–profit organizations and state governments, wherein her work included child and family law, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. As a senate intern, Kristen is also proud to have worked on a state law aimed at improving bullying policies in schools.

A Girl Scout of America member for 12 years, during which time she earned both the Silver and Gold Awards, Kristen believes strongly in the importance of community service, education, and childhood development. She earned her Gold Award by developing and implementing a Spanish-to-English books-on-tape program for her local free public library.

Kristen is proud to be surrounded by a family full of teachers and other school employees. As a doting aunt to many nieces and nephews, she has enjoyed working to instill in them a sense of confidence and strong sense of self, as well as a love of learning, through an emphasis on reading, education, affirmations, mindfulness, and imaginative play, in a safe and supportive environment.

Kristen is thrilled to join the amazing team at Embright as a social-emotional learning instructor for second grade students through the Confident Kids program. She is overjoyed at the opportunity to work with the incredible kids in her community.
