Madeline Weir

Madeline is a psychology student from New Jersey who is very passionate about child psychological development and disorders. Having attended The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) to attain a Bachelor of Arts in developmental psychology, she was able to pursue research in the field of child psychological development and disorders. During her time at TCNJ, Madeline conducted research on parental perceptions of autism spectrum disorder in Black populations, as well as the research and evaluation of school program effectiveness.

Madeline believes in the accessibility of mental health services for minority populations and plans to further study systemic barriers that inhibit the access of care. To make an impact in this area of study, she plans to pursue doctoral research and receive her Ph.D. in clinical child psychology after the completion of additional research experiences.

Through her studies and work at Embright, Madeline aspires to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
